TryToComplex(String,IFormatProvider,Complex) Method

Converts the string representation of a complex number to double-precision complex number equivalent. A return value indicates whether the conversion succeeded or failed.

Syntax

[System.Runtime.CompilerServices.Extension()]
public static System.bool TryToComplex( 
   System.string value,
   System.IFormatProvider formatProvider,
   out System.Numerics.Complex result
)

Parameters

value: A string containing a complex number to convert.
formatProvider: An System.IFormatProvider that supplies culture-specific formatting information about value.
result: The parsed value.

Return Value

If the conversion succeeds, the result will contain a complex number equivalent to value. Otherwise the result will contain complex32.Zero. This parameter is passed uninitialized

Target Platforms: Windows 11, Windows 10, Windows 7, Windows Server 2019, Windows Server 2016, Windows Server 2012 R2, Windows Server 2012, Windows Server 2008 (Server Core not supported), Windows Server 2008 R2 (Server Core supported with SP1 or later)
