A Bonne projection is a pseudoconical equal-area map projection.

Remarks

All parallels are standard, with the same scale as the central meridian; parallels are concentric circles. No distortion along the reference parallel or the central meridian.

Special Cases: Werner results when the reference parallel is at a pole. Sinusoidal results when the reference parallel is at the equator.
